At the request of many colleagues, I have redesigned the 1 to 6 lab and am having them made and available for purchase. This is the lab shown on this site and measures roughly 4’ high 4’ deep and 8’wide. The front positions come out another 2’. I can have any other size built to order. They are all steel and beautifully powder coated to give a durable black finish. I have contracted a company to make scaled soft goods specifically for these labs. They can also make custom drapes for different lab configurations. The quality of their work is wonderful.

These labs are totally flexible. You can change the grid height, the grid pipe positions, the depth of the stage, the angle of the front pipes, and the positions of the side pipes. You can customize it to match your theater or change it to replicate any theater you want to explore. You can also set it up for thrust spaces as well a full theatre in the round.

These also are fabulous for shooting models, product photography an even make a great small filming stage for model projects or stop motion animation.

It’s Easy to Buy One (or more)

This is the metal theatre “box”. It is the base for anything you want to add depending on how you plan to use it.

It is also very easy to assemble. One person can fully assemble the lab frame in about 2 hours.
